Miami Marathon question

We're sailing on the Victory February 3rd, the day after the Miami Marathon. We're driving down since airline prices are expensive this weekend... Just wondering if the Marathon will be clear on the 3rd so we have a simple drive into the port on the 3rd. Don't want to take any detours in a town we don't really know much about.

I would think so but we are cruising on the 2nd and it has our roll call concerned.

The day after, there will be no sign that there was a marathon the day before.

The day after you will not know there was a marathon there.

Even the afternoon following New Years Eve you wouldn't know there was a big bash by Bayside.

You'll be fine by the day after. I accidentally booked a cruise leaving marathon weekend two years in a row. Main impact is hotel rates both years have been ridiculously expensive. There's a 5k on Saturday morning but should be over before most cruisers head to the ships and only uses the causeway and over to South Beach. Sunday is marathon day and would allow extra time for anyone sailing then due to the street closures downtown.
