Thanks-I was just trying to determine why Voyager from New Orleans to Western would be $2500 and Enchantment to Bahamas would be $3800....Same dates of travel...Wondered if I was missing something

Supply and demand is the simple answer.

 

Baltimore, 3 ships sail out of this port. no real competition.

Baltimore is in reach to Washington DC, Philly, NYC. These people do not have to fly to the port so the cruise line can raise the price. Its the same reason these states can get resident discount to defray the cost of airfare.

Affluent market.

 

Enchantment- has fewer outside and up cabins than voyager and therefore command a premium price for these cabins. if you compare inside cabins, I'd believe there would be less of a price difference.

 

Southern ports in general. Many ships, 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 day cruises instead of just 7-9 day cruises out of the north,
