You could take the airport flyer to Mid Beach and then hop on a city bus.

It will take you a couple of hours.

I would just take a cab. Sometimes the money you save isn't worth your time.

Can you change your hotel to one closer to the Port of Miami assuming that is where your cruise leaves? There are many nice hotels that are much closer to POM.

We stayed in Sunny Isles a few years ago. I can't remember exactly what it cost to get to the airport but I know it was pricey...I think around $60.

taxi from the airport should be $52 for the CAR, flat rate (Sunny Isle is in ZONE 1) .. plus tip

see line for Sunny Isle @ 185 street and col' for area hotel . .

... if you are 2, taxi is less.
