bigbum Posted February 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2015 Could you please ask why there are no seats on the open decks, only beds which are quite difficult for older people and those with mobility problems. Thank you. I do like the Pearl very much but Sapphire not to my faste.

Griller Posted February 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Hi, I've had to cancel the visits this week due to personal circumstances. Will be arranging to go another time and will get back to you then. Sorry. Linda Hi Linda, hope your circumstances improve, there didn't seem to be any interest anyway, not sure many of us are Saga cruisers, somewhat expensive compared to others, and they have the reputation of being an old folks home afloat. Any information is always worth having though.
Rare Fletcher Posted February 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Hi Linda, hope your circumstances improve, there didn't seem to be any interest anyway, not sure many of us are Saga cruisers, somewhat expensive compared to others, and they have the reputation of being an old folks home afloat.Any information is always worth having though. Reminds me of the day we sailed into St John's, Antigua, on the Saga Sapphire. Another huge ship was berthed next to us, brimming with young Americans and Canadians. Because I am able to walk unaided, one of these Americans came up to me and said, 'Excuse me, sir, but what sort of ship are you on?' 'A cruise ship, just like yours,' I said. 'Oh,' he said, 'We all thought it was a hospital ship.'
