cactusrose Posted June 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2004 Don't bother with this unless you have a strong opinion. I just found my answer in another post. If you have a balcony, which side of the ship is best to be on for a full transit cruise through the canal? 1952 - Excalibur (freighter) 1972 - Song of Norway, Caribbean 1980 - Hawaii American Curise line, Tahiti 09/01/2002 - Veendam, Alaska 05/29/2003 - Pacific Princess, Alaska 11/26/2003 - Star Princess, Australia/New Zealand 5/28/2004 - Star Princess, Venice to Barcelona 11/06/2004 - Diamond Princess, Mexican Riviera [This message was edited by cactusrose on 06-19-04 at 08:06 PM.]

Host Caroline Posted July 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2004 It really doesn't matter.. to get a full appreciation of the locks etc. you will need to be on the open decks for part of the day anyway.. esp. if you are heading west (i.e. towards Pacific from Caribbean) after the last set of locks.. the view of Bridge of Americas at close to sunset was awesome... Krazy Kruizers Posted July 4, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2004 :) And if you go from the Pacific to the Caribbean you view the Bridge of the Americas very early in the morning. :)
