Where To Stay In Ft. Lauderdale Before A Cruise?

Has anyone stayed at the Red Carpet Inn (airport) before a cruise in Ft. Lauderdale?

How was it? How much does a taxi cost to the pier?

Try the Embassy Suites or the Marriott...nicer places and both are close to the port.

Please don't stay there or in that neighborhood. It's a crummy property in the bad part of town. The value pricing attracts a lot of undesirables. Not the way you want to begin your vacation. ;)

Go To Priceline And Bid For A Four Star Hotel. Put In A Bid Of $80. You Will More Than Likly Get A Room At The Renaissance. We've Stayed There 2x And Love It. From Some Of The Rooms You Can See The Cruise Ships Come In. Itis The Closest Location To The Port. Hope This Helps

Bequia: What can you tell us about the Comfort Suites Airport & Cruise Port motel and the The Springhill Suites by Marriott Ft Lauderdale Airport. MBGEO ..... we have the Comfort Suites booked for late Sept. I will post my experience on here when I get back . I have not heard any bad things about it. I did read to ask for a room away from the highway due to noise.
