Renting a golf cart in Catalina?

Recommended Posts

We haven't been there for a few years but in the past the vendors did not take reservations. However, that was not a problem, just go up the pier and turn left where you should find a couple of vendors. Driving around the Avalon townsite in a golf cart is a lot of fun.

We did rent a cart last year when we went to Catalina for a weekend. We went one day on a historic bus tour up to the Airport in the Sky and the second day we rented a golf cart and toured Avalon. Pick up the cart tour map at the rental office and follow along the route. Be sure to allow some time at the Botanical Gardens. They were the highlight of the day. Here are my Catalina pictures, if you are interested.

I'm headed to Catalina next month on my first cruise and I'm interested in renting a golf cart. Are the rentals near the port? walking distance? Not sure what to expect...

From the Green pier, turn right on the boardwalk, walk a few blocks and you'll see the golf carts.
