A sad day today 22/08. I was at an Airshow, the weather perfect for flying and photos. A Hawker Hunter jet tragically crashed onto a main road and so far there have been 7 fatalities, one person critical and many injured.

The Vulcan bomber was due to fly at the show as it will be the last time it will be flying. All flying was stopped, but the Vulcan was allowed to fly near the scene in respect of the downed pilot and the tragic loss of lives.

At present it is believed that the pilot was pulled alive from the wreckage

My heart felt sympathy to the love ones who have lost someone today

Yes, very tragic and sad news. Will look for news reports over here with added details.

I had a great day at Jotunheimen National Park yesterday

Appreciate your nice postings from Norway. It helps bring back great memories from our sailing along your scenic western coast up to the North Cape, seeing the Lofoten Islands, etc. Great, dramatic areas!!

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Thank you Sir!

It was a rather unusual warm day for this area. The temperature was as high as 22c.

Hopefully I manage one trip up there in September/early October. The autumn colors is just fantastic in this area.

Here are some weekend flower pictures from around in our nearby neighborhood, etc. Today was another perfect weather day, especially for August in Central Ohio. Sunny and high in the low 80'sF. Tonight will be down to 61F. Tomorrow will also be very sunny, but a high of only 76F. Fun!!

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Enjoyed a 14-day, Jan. 20-Feb. 3, 2014, Sydney to Auckland adventure, getting a big sampling for the wonders of "down under” before and after this cruise. Go to:

Here is a little nearby floral actions. First, a couple of nice hanging baskets in the downtown of Worthington, just north of where we live. Then, an example for how somebody with a patriotic flare mixes flowers and plants with the their porch decorations. Third is a porch with lots of these nice red flowers both hanging and setting in a railing planter. Fourth is a nice floral mix at the street.:

Fall is coming soon and this garden store had some white-yellow mums starting to bloom for fall and ready to be planted. Second are some purple Asters looking good for later summer planting.:
