nobody000 Posted February 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2011 When we were on the Freedom we got our Corona's in the platic bottles shown below instead of the little cups. Do all ships use these now? Or are they just starting to get used? Thanks in advance, more curious than anything. :D

I think it's just Coronas purchased at Lido bars, because of the bottle restrictions perhaps. They are a bit funny looking though...
Cruzaholic41 Posted February 11, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Those bottles have become common at the pool bars and on the private islands.
PimpTastic Posted February 11, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2011 I only got Corona in those plastic cups when on the lido deck. Because of that, I never ordered more than one at a time. At the bars not on the lido deck, I could get it in the glass bottle, and I would order a bucket of those.

Yeah we had been on 4 ships this year and Dec was the first time we had seen them used. So I had to scratch the curious itch. :D
PimpTastic Posted February 11, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2011 It would be great if Corona would also use aluminum bottles. It would be perfect for cruising.
alreadypacked Posted February 11, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Anyone know the price of Corona onboard?
klmorg Posted February 11, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Anyone know the price of Corona onboard? $4.95 + 15% gratuity. You can save 50 cents per beer, or $2.00 total if you buy a bucket (4 beers). Just remember how they're served on Lido, open in these plastic things, so be ready to drink up. golfadj Posted February 11, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 11, 2011 So that was what that strange bottle on the Miracle was last week. Ordered a Corona in one of the lounges last week and got it in a glass.
clearwatergirl Posted February 11, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 11, 2011 We had the "strange" glass when ordering at the bar in the Casino. Not sure I liked it too much. Beer was good, but rim felt a little sharp.

The rim just made it a tad hard to drink .

klmorg Posted February 11, 2011 #16 Share Posted February 11, 2011 Not on all lines. I was on Celebrity in August and I got my Corona is a glass bottle. That's great. We were talking about Carnival ships, and specifically the Lido deck. ;)
