joeinsb Posted March 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2015 We just booked a European cruise on Azamara Journey and noticed that Dubrovnik, Croatia, is listed as a tender port. When we have been there before on other cruise lines, we have always docked and took the cruise ship shuttle into the old town. Does the tender designation mean that we will tender off the old part of town? That would be great.
excitedofharpenden Posted March 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Yes, they do tender sometimes in Dubrovnik and you'd be at the Old Town harbour. What date cruise are you on? Phil
joeinsb Posted March 3, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Thanks for the information. We are on the July 21, 2016, cruise.
excitedofharpenden Posted March 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2015 That's one of the new itineraries and the Dubrovnik cruise schedule doesn't go out that far, but I suspect the docking facilities are full for 30th July and they have gone with the tendering. Barcelona to Venice looks a wonderful itinerary. Hmmm:cool: Phil
MrMojoRisin Posted March 5, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2015 If they are tendering to the Old Town then that is a much, much better option than docking at the main port and bussing in. It is a great way to approach Dubrovnik.
