I agree. I'll leave it to Azamara to sort things out for the best. Ship life can be pretty challenging at times, but Azamara have good protocols.in place. None of my business. I'll also say that posting such things here I feel is more about making the poster feel good than helping crew. If I was going to do it then I'd be more discreet. Phil

Azamara Internet (Wi-Fi) with Starlink - How well does it work?
excitedofharpenden replied to Mercruiser's topic in Azamara
On Journey now Hong Kong to Tokyo and have purchased the upgraded wifi package at $107.40 for 12 night cruise. I'm finding it much better than the standard I've used in the past. Streamed Netflix/Prime Video etc no problem and am glad I bought it. No frustrating buffering. Phil -
Journey port in Ho Chi Minh? What about Onward?
excitedofharpenden replied to flydc's topic in Azamara
You'll dock in the same area as Silversea, ie right in town. Phil -
There were indeed guest cabins on deck 3. They have portholes, but as Benthayer says they are now crew cabins/guest entertainers accommodations etc. Phil

All my pre cruise documentation said 2pm for a 4.30pm sail. I thought was late and when we got to the port it said from 12pm. Phil

Never seen that either. Some people have no clue! Unfortunately they are everywhere. Phil

Senior officers at the moment - post what you know

No, I think she gets off mid way through the next cruise. She's handing over to Michelle Graham. Also a star so you've lucked out. Phil -
I think we just have to wait and see and let it bed in. I've been on cruises where the Specialty Restaurants have been busy. Conversely some have been very quiet. No reason. Money is an emotive subject so people will vote with their feet. Or maybe just get used to the new price (which is what they want). I'll make my feelings known. Phil

I'm not sure they give that amount of autonomy and feel it would cause chaos. May simply be the start date is staggered depending upon the away the itineraries are working through. Phil

I don't think it would be raw. Unless they forgot to put it in the oven or thought it was beef tartare😄. You wouldn't like the way my friend has her steak. Blue. Even too rare for me. Phil

That is correct. And the showers in there next to the steam room are pretty good too. The Elemis Revitalise Me product they have are really good. Phil

Raw or rare? I've had chateaubriand in Prime C many times and it has always been cooked perfectly. I like mine medium rare though. Maybe when they cooked it again they didn't let it rest enough in the rush to get it back to you? It's a good size piece of meat so they probably didn't want to start again. Once it goes wrong it never seems to come out the way it should have done in the first place because the timing is all wrong. Phil

Corinne, I think it varies depending upon the cruise and how well it's sold. I got my offer Monday and the cruise leaves Thursday. This Japan one has been sold out on travel agent websites for months, but the Azamara website showed one or two. Good luck! Phil

Same here. Very impressed with the service. Very straightforward. Rang UK number and actually got through to the person from the US who sent me the email. Was able to confirm location before approval. Phil

The fee for the Specialty Restaurants has recently been increased to just under $50 pp. Phil

P1 on deck 6 or 8 (aft view)..or a P3 on 8...or a V? on deck 7
excitedofharpenden replied to ghstudio's topic in Azamara
My first choice would be a P1 on deck 6 or 7, not deck 8and second a V1 on deck 7. Phil -
I only remember because was much less "sophisticated" in its calculation when I went through it. Phil

Number of cruises, not points. That was how it was worked out for me. Phil
-
The 50% rule is based on number of cruises, not points. Phil
-
If you are moving from Discoverer to Discoverer Plus and have only four Azamara cruises it's never going to be enough to meet the 50% that Riocca has correctly stated. Phil

The only one I've seen is BBC World. No proper UK channels. It's always been more US focused, but even then it's limited. TV entertainment is not a strong point on Azamara, nor the TVs themselves. Which is ok for me. Phil
