FLL Hotel options

Will be traveling to FFL on 3/2/18 for 3/3/18 RCL cruise and want to find a hotel for that night, ideally one that includes free shuttle from airport and to the pier (if that exists). It is Spring Break week, so don't want to book too late. I don't need it to be a beachfront hotel, but also don't want to be in a bad part of town. Suggestions?

Very expensive this time of year. Hotels.com has the Comfort Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port 191 SW 19 ct. Dania Beach Florida for $212 that night. Most hotels are higher than this one.

Shuttle to the pier brings up the question - what port? Port Everglades or Port of Miami?

I would not focus too much on "free" shuttles when taxis and Uber are cheap and the distances are not far -- do not let a "free" shuttle convince you to stay someplace that otherwise does not meet your needs.
