Black Horse Tavern, St. David's

Is it true? Is the Black Horse Tavern on St. David's closed? This is one of our favorite places, so I hope it's just a mistake! Thanks for any information you can share.

I saw a few posts on TripAdvisor about this place being closed and then I saw it on this website. I'm disappointed because I kept hearing about how great it was and I wanted to go there on my upcoming trip to Bermuda.

Thank you! Sad news -- I was hoping it was wrong. We always liked to go there after swimming at Clearwater Beach. Sigh.:(

I'll bet the person that runs that site got the information from the same Trip Advisor posts. He isn't a local...he lives in India and depends on what he can find from other sources. That's not to say it isn't true, it's just that the site should not be considered an independent verification.

I have been calling this last week, no answer, but the # is still in service. So, they may not be closed for good. Sometimes they are closed when looking for new staff. I'm here in Bermuda, so I will let you know if they re-open.

I asked around yesterday, and it has closed. But I thought I'd let you know Judy who used to run Black Horse and her husband, who was the chef have relocated to another restaurant. It's Soccer and Friends Bar and Restaurant. It's in the Square in St. George's.

Oh that's marvelous news (about Judy & her spouse)! We'll head there, for sure!
