palmanova beach vs illetas beach for family

We are looking for nice beach day, during our cruise stop in Palma.

which beach is better for family ( 3 and 5 years childs)?

Which beach has more shadow and is kids friendly?

Palma Nova is a larger of the two with a lot more going on,more large hotels behind the beach and more down market than Illetas . Personally with two young children I would go to Illetas beach , shallow sandy beach much quieter and easier to keep you eyes on them.

I too would choose Illetas - smaller, shallow/clear water, prettier and closer to the port.

Another vote for Illetas - Palma Nova gets very, very busy.
