Leighglo Posted May 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2016 Looking for some help pls. We're travelling from Scotland and looking forward to our cruise on the Escape on 23 July. We've booked the NCL trip to Maho Beach in St Maarten but are struggling to decide on other port activities for the other days. There seems to be a lot of beaches to choose from and, quite honestly, don't know where to start - they all look great. If anyone has top tips for Tortola, St Thomas & Bahamas it would be greatly appreciated. I appreciate everyone has different views but it would be great to consider all options - we're travelling with out 2 kids aged 13 and 8. Thank you

Hawks LOB Posted May 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2016 If your kids like boogie boarding or surfing I'd suggest Josiah's Bay on Tortola. We took a taxi there, it's on the north side of the island, and it was very easy (just be sure to arrange a time for the taxi to come back to get you as this is not a beach frequented by taxis). There is a little "surf shack" on the beach to rent surf boards, boogie board or take surf lessons. There is also a small restaurant. The beach is beautiful and not crowded at all! My husband, 2 boys and myself really enjoyed it!
Rare BirdTravels Posted May 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2016 We went to Magens Bay in St. Thomas a couple of weeks ago. It was a beautiful beach, great sand. Not many fish, but we did follow a sea turtle around. It will get crowded later in the day, so go early.
