asubaru Posted May 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2017 I have never sailed Princess. I am VP player who has sailed NCL several times. Yes, the paytables are weak at most denominations on NCL. They do have a decent selection/variety on the larger ships (Epic and newer). I am looking for information on Princess' video poker paytables and the variety of machines. Are the amount of offerings about the same? I assume there are more machines and variety on Princesses larger ship. Any/all input appreciated. hightownCO Posted May 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2017 Haven't been on the newer ships and hopefully there will be some VP variety for you. I have been on the Grand and Crown in the last 8 months. Grand had the Game King VP and midway thru the cruise, they got a couple of multi hand/multi game machines up and going (spin/x/ulitimate x). Crown only had Game King.
memoak Posted May 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2017 I was on the Ruby last month and they had Game Kings but you need to look at the pay tables closely. I have always played 5 units to get the max payout but on some of the VP machines on this ship you need to bet 10 units to get max payout. That meant that the $1,000 payout for a Royal Flush playing 5 quarters now takes 10 quarters to get that payout. The payout for 5 quarters was only $395 (of course I did cash that out was was happy)

It was quarter machines, but you needed to play 10 quarters MAX bet, so it was basically a 50c. machine. This made sence because the Prog. was $2,850, which was Fine for a 50c. bank. Anyone playing this bank as 5 quarters, instead of 10 Max, like a 50C. bank, would be shooting themself in the foot. There were some single line quarter machines, with NO Progressive, you could have played. However I was happy to play that bank, like a 50c. bank, and hit that Prog. before our last night.:D I play alot of VP on NCL & Princess. Its pretty limited, and seems to be getting less as time goes on. I found their casinos to be similar, except the bounceback offers much better on NCL/CAS. Greyhound3 Posted September 2, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 2, 2017 On the Grand Princess, Double Double Bonus paytable was 6 per coin for a full house, 5 for a flush. Pretty bad. Grey

asubaru Posted September 7, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted September 7, 2017 That is beyond bad! I'm not sure I've ever seen a paytable that poor.. Was this quarters? Do you know if higher denominations were better? Thanks for your response. On the Grand Princess, Double Double Bonus paytable was 6 per coin for a full house, 5 for a flush. Pretty bad.
