Castaway/Nursey ?

Recommended Posts

We're one year out from our first family vaca with grands at 7, 5, 5, 2. Are reservations at the kids clubs and nursery really necessary?

We're silver, can we do the reservations for the grands booking a bit earlier then our kids would be able to?

I understand the nursery is at $9 per hour at this time. Is the charge for anytime day or night? Do they supply diapers or do you have to bring some? Do they call you if the kid poops?

Thanks in advance.

Only the nursery requires a reservation. You bring your own diapers and they will change. We just left them a diaper bag with everything in it. As for the charge, yes it is the same day or night.

You will only be able to book the nursery if the 2 year old is in your room on the reservation. Each room can only book the people in their room, based on the highest Castaway Club level in that room.

No reservations are needed for the Oceaneer's Club. There is REGISTRATION required, but that is just so DCL knows about any allergies/needs and who can pick up the kids. It saves a little time if this is done on line in advance, but is no big deal if not.

You can only make reservations for those people booked in your cabin--so nursery times will have to wait till the parent's window opens unless the baby is booked in your room. Yes, nursery reservations are required. Nursery will change baby as needed--no, they don't call the parents for a change. As above, take a diaper bag with supplies and an extra set of clothing just like you would to any day care or church nursery. They will call the parent only if child is crying and can't be comforted or vomits (not a little spit up) or otherwise appears ill.
