Flying into NO looking for hotel/airport shuttle/pot shuttle help

Taking my son for a spring break cruise. We will be flying into NO so won't have to park. Looking for hotel ideas that hopefully have either or both port and airport shuttles. I don't mind ubering to the FQ for some sight seeing. Thank you for help in advance. Arrival March

We are also flying in for a cruise.

There are no hotels inside New Orleans that have free airport shuttles.

The hotels with airport shuttles are in the towns near the airport.

There is only 1 hotel actually in New Orleans with a free shuttle to the port but there are several in areas where you can walk to the port.

I think it is a flat rate now of $36 for 2 people for taxis from the airport into the city. If you use Uber you need to make a special arrangement for pick up. Not sure it saves a lot ??

Cab from FQ/downtown/warehouse area hotels to the port are $8 pp. easy and with it, as it is congested in the port area on embarkation morning.
