Is RCI still offereing champagne and munchies for priority boarding members in Galveston, please? They did in 2008 and 2009.

Last year RCI furnished champagne, lemonade, water & cookies for their embarking Suite (but not Jr Suite), Platinum, Diamond, & Diamond Plus guests and only lemonade, water & cookies for their embarking Jr Suite, Gold or first time guests in Galveston.

So far this year, RCI has furnished ONLY lemonade, water & cookies for ALL their embarking guests in Galveston.

So this seems like an appropriate thread for this. It has been an awfully long time since we have sailed out of Galveston, but when we did it a decade ago the port was a mess. We are sailing next year on the RCCL Liberty of the Seas in a Grand Suite, which should mean priority boarding. Is the Royal Caribbean terminal in Galveston sufficiently well organized that someone staying in a suite can normally just walk up and find the appropriate boarding area, or is there usually a long line outside as you find your way inside? I would appreciate any insights or pictures anybody has, and thank you very much.

A new terminal of 12 million of enhancements at terminal 2 RCCL

one of which is for embarking quests refreshment sitting area will be in place by time for Liberty arrival.

In the mean time you may experience some delay.

However Bob who is one the most helpful posters on this entire site

Recently arrived at 11 and was on ship in less 20 minutes for a wonderful embarkation experience .

See clarea posts on this gulf coast departure forum to clarify.

No need to wait and have treats at pier but on ship.

Have a good cruise .

We got there about 11am last month, checked in, and walked right on the ship."
