dylane Posted July 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Can someone direct me to where on Holland America's site I can find directions to the pier I am sailing from. Their site seems insanely hard to navigate if you are looking for specific information like this. TIA Dylan
ore-ee-gun Posted July 31, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2004 I don't recall seeing pier information on HAL's website, either. You didn't mention where you are sailing from, but your cruise docs will give driving directions to the pier. You also could check with the city's port authority website for directions. :)
dylane Posted July 31, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted July 31, 2004 I'm sailing from Seattle tomorrow, I know where the waterfront is...I just don't know which particular pier I'm sailing from. I don't have any cruise documents, my parents, who I can't get a hold of until tomorrow, are meeting me at the "pier" with my boarding documents. I would have liked a chance to look over them before I left, but... -Dylan
Navy_Chief Posted July 31, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Here's a link to the Port of Seattle and a map of the place: http://www.portseattle.org/about/maps/cruiseoverview.shtml I assume your sailing on the Oosterdam, you want terminal 30, Gate 4 off of East Marginal Way. jhannah Posted July 31, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2004 ... your cruise docs will give driving directions to the pier.Is this something new? I've never seen directions to the pier in any of my materials.
Navy_Chief Posted July 31, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Nothing realy new, just simply ran a search for Port of Seattle and let the PC do all the work. Of course, computer systems is my line of work so I have a little experience at it. And I have never been to Seattle either. I'm a New Englander but from judging by this young man's post, he should know exactly where this is. :D

Navy_Chief Posted July 31, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Here's the link for Port Everglades. Never sailed out of here, but looks like it's devided up between North and Mid ports. And yes Celebrity uses Terminal 18 in Mid Port. http://www.broward.org/poi03300.htm HAL is assigned to Terminal 26 in Mid Port. But several terminals say "As Assigned" Here are some other popular Port Center links: Port Canaveral: http://www.portcanaveral.org/ Port Miami: http://www.miamidade.gov/portofmiami/ Port of Tampa: http://www.tampaport.com/index.asp Port of Galveston: http://www.portofgalveston.com/cruiseinformation/ Port of New York (Passengers): http://www.nypst.com/ That's all I can think of at the moment :D
peaches from georgia Posted July 31, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Usually 26 Midport, but there are things that can change that any particular day. We left from 26 on the Rotterdam, but came in at Pier 4. They tell you exactly where to go when you stop at security on the way into Port Everglades, there are signs as to which ship is at what terminal, and you can see the ships, so there is not a chance you won't know when you get there. dylane Posted July 31, 2004 Author #10 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Here's a link to the Port of Seattle and a map of the place: http://www.portseattle.org/about/maps/cruiseoverview.shtml I assume your sailing on the Oosterdam, you want terminal 30, Gate 4 off of East Marginal Way. Thank you very much. I am on the Oosterdam, guess I should have included that in my original post. How did you find out that this was the terminal the Oosterdam was sailing from? I couldn't find this information on HAL's site. I very much appreciate your efforts. Cheers, Dylan
Navy_Chief Posted July 31, 2004 #11 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Your quite welcome and have a Great Cruise! We have an old saying in the Navy, "Ask the Chief" it's just a matter of poking around a bit. -Enjoy, Bob
