Will things be open on Easter

You are sure to find some places closed for Easter. The Caribbean observes these holidays and if there is somewhere special you want to go, why not e-mail them ahead of time to confirm they will be open?

Yes Tortola definitely observes these religious holidays, and if you are interested in a particular place (perhaps a store like Sunny Caribbee, or lunch at the Bananakeet, for example) you can email them to ensure they will be open. But for a beach day or the Baths it is business as usual for taxis and ferries...

Also, Good Friday many places are closed and alcohol is not served until after 6PM if I remember correctly form staying on Tortola.

You should join our rollcall. There are a few of us who are doing an all day sail w/ Kuralu Catamarans in Tortola. We have 4 signed up currently and he needs a minimum 6 to sail. We have confirmed that he will be running on that Easter Sunday.
