Porters and Car seats

They will take pretty much anything you slap a luggage tag on. I've checked two car seats, two bouncie chairs, a plastic storage tub (duct taped closed), boxes of diapers, a collapsed stroller, etc. Same in the reverse - the last night I put it all out in front of the stateroom and collect it with the luggage.

Best,

Mia

The land side porters only load the luggage/stuff onto the cages that load the stuff onto the ship. Once on the ship, the ship's staff deliver it to the stateroom. I always tip the land side porter about $2 per bag - all my checked bags have showed up within an hour of boarding. These are the guys that make sure my luggage is on one of the earlier cages that is boarded onto the ship so the ship's personnel can off load them earlier.

We sent ours with the porter. We went and bought a $40 Cosco Scenera and a car seat carry bag ( jeep brand from target) because I didn't want to risk our good seat getting damaged. That and the Scenera is light and easy to install quickly.
