Embarkation Day - Where is open for lunch? - Crown Princess

We are joining the Crown Princess shortly and I'm interested to know which venues will be open for lunch on the first day?

You can have lunch at either the buffet or the International Cafe at any time embarkation day One of the main dining rooms (usually a midship one) is also open for lunch for a limited period of time.

I find 'International Cafe' on online deck plans but where is 'the buffet' located please?

The buffet is on Deck 15 - Horizon Court.

Would the buffet be called Horizon Court by any chance?

Along with the 3 already mentioned: you can get food on Lido deck near the pools...pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, soft serve ice cream.

All the eateries that posters have mentioned are included (i.e. no charge).

The lunch in the MDR is the best choice. Quiet, waiters, table cloths:D.

As San Diego Ellie noted, one of the mid-ship dining rooms will be open. They will seat you up until 1:30 p.m. They often have a very small menu for embarkation day, but it's still a much more mellow way to start your cruise than the hustle-and-bustle (meaning chaos) of the first-day Horizon Court.

There is also pizza and burgers and hot dogs on the pool deck.

The Horizon buffet isn't that crowded unless you get there late.

We tend not to go to the DR since it takes over an hour to eat lunch and we would rather unpack & get ready for muster.

when we boarded in Southampton, we used horizon court....then walked up for an ice cream !! very wide range /menu in horizon court makes it very popular. the cheese burgers were really nice and I think I seen off 1 slice of pizza as well (not all on the same day by the way).
