Splendor my awesome bar package

On splendor now signing up, 15 alcohol drink limit a day and unlimited soda. Gratuity is paid on the 42.95 price not per drink.

Also can sign up on embarkation day or 2nd day that's all

FIFTEEN drinks a DAY?? That's more than I've drank on TWO 8-night cruises totaled :eek: I'm guessing 42.95 is per day/per person, which of course seems totally worth it even if you normally only purchased 5 drinks per day. I just couldn't imagine drinking all that, but... to each their own.

That is AWESOME!!!!! We will totally take advantage of that package if they roll it out fleetwide!!!! :). Enjoy your cruise!!!!

Yup! You only pay for remaining days

Yes, today we will be paying CA sales tax on our alcohol purchases. Only for each drink we've been ordering its charged (about .55 a beer) once we get in international waters it won't be, and it wasn't charged on the package

I can't imagine 15 drinks in one day! But, it is a good deal for some.

For me, even if I stretch them out between mimosas/bloody mary's in the morning, a few drinks at the pool, and even at 3-4 during the evening... that's still below 10! But, I guess if you bought 10 drinks out right, it would be alot more than the all-inclusive, so it is a good deal. Just gotta make sure you drink enough to make it worth it.

I probably wouldn't, but I can see where it would be worth it to some, even if you don't drink the 15 max.

No, 691.50 was total for package (601.30 plus 90.20 in gratuities). In CA port, we pay the CA tax per drink

That comes out to $49.39 per day per person times 7 days.

So, on a 7 day cruise we are still paying $50 for that 7th day which is disembarkation and we're off the ship by 9am. Basically, it's $57.58 per day for the 6 days we can actually use it.

On a 7 day cruise the debarkation day is actually day 8. You are only paying for 7 days.

I can see the ship from here. If I see someone fall overboard on the way out I'll assume you've had your 15th drink:eek:

I still think its too much per person.

off the wall question: what becomes of your free drink coupon left in your cabin for the VIFP program when one purchases the drink package? Can you get 16 drinks that day or does it just go to waste.

I figured if we had two drinks in the afternoon, a glass of wine before dinner and then one with dinner and then a drink during the show, it might almost work out.

Then my husband pointed out that most days you're in port and that means you need to drink up from 5 till bed to get your monies worth.

I really don;t want to be near people that drink 10-15 drinks a day. Sorry to be judgemental.

(1) mimosa at breakfast

(1) drink at lunch

(2) drinks while laying out reading on deck

(1) glass of wine with dinner

And (2) drinks after dinner in the bar, casino, comedy club, or my personal favorite- the piano bar

As long as service is timely and the drinks still taste the same, this sounds like a great deal to me!
