Allure in Cozumel

DH & I will be in Cozumel next month. Not really interested in doing any Excursions. What is there do to at the terminal?

There will be some restaurants and some shops. You can also walk next door to Puerta Maya Pier and there are even more options there.

That being said, we like to go to town and wander around there. Plenty of friendly faces, local places and fun! No need for an excursion, just hop in a taxi. Will be about $8 each way.

There is only one downtown (small island) - San Miguel. The cab fare to downtown from your pier should be posts on a board near the cab line (should be about $7-8 for up to 4 passengers sharing the cab).

Yes, San Miguel is the name of the town, but if you just say town, or downtown, they will take you there. You can ask for the town square which is a good starting point as well, otherwise they may drop you off near the Punta Langosta pier, which is fine as well, but a couple blocks from the square. Super easy. Plenty of taxis to take you back to your ship, but DO KNOW the name of the pier you are docked at so they drop you off at the right one.

You will find Cozumel super easy to get around in.
