Herbs Posted June 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2012 Hi, We are sailing on 3rd July 2012 on the Brilliance of the Seas from Amsterdam. We fly into the airport and I've heard it is about 30 mins to the cruise terminal. Any travel suggestions as how to get from the airport to the cruise terminal the quickest and cheapest way? There will be 6 of us. Thanks:)
Rare LHT28 Posted June 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2012 You can take the train then walk or take the tram or taxi from there but I think the best way is to take a taxi van you can check the price at http://www.schiphol.nl/Travellers/ToFromSchiphol/SchipholTravelTaxi.htm address of port Piet Heinkade 271019 BR Amsterdam
Rich170 Posted July 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2012 Easiest and cheapest way is to take the train from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station. You can buy tickets in the luggage area; there are machines there (yellow and blue) where you can purchase your ticket (first class or second class). Second class ticket (single journey) is € 3,80. Trains leave every 5-10 minutes, train takes approx 15 minutes. You can either walk (go to back of station; not to city center) - cross the street and turn right. It is about a 10 minutes walk (terminal is next to Mövenpick hotel) or take a taxi (would cost about € 10). Taxi from the airport takes approx 30 minutes and would cost around €

Peregrina651 Posted August 20, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2012 When we travelled to Amsterdam in '07, we used Connexions Airport Shuttle to get to and from the airport. They make multiple stops at various hotels but it was cheaper than taking a cab. I don't know if they make stops at the passenger terminal (we were staying at a hotel before and after the cruise) but it is easy enough to check a map to see what the closest hotel is and if they stop there (if you don't mind not being dropped right in front of the passenger terminal). See their website for more information.
