2 Weeks to go

Ah yes, Pier 66, lol. I have fond memories of Pier 70 - there used to be some fun bars at the end of it back in the disco days of the late 1970's and early 1980's ;).

What hotel are you staying at? Will you be within walking distance of the Market and the waterfront? Unfortunately, they're rebuilding the sea wall so most of the stores are closed. But there's still the aquarium, Great Wheel and Pike Place Market of course. And the Seattle Center with the Space Needle and the new glass museum.

I'll be out of town this weekend for another 3-day camping trip in the RV. That's what we do now instead of cruising. No flying involved!

I am arriving Thursday afternoon and have a good friend who lives

in Vancouver driving down to pick me up and staying overnight in

Seattle.....she is not sailing with me but it will be fun to see her

again.:). I am staying at The Silver Cloud in Lake Union....not

sure what our plans are:D

14 dresses? I don't even own 14 dresses:eek:

I am done packing:D except for the last minute stuff.....(toiletries,

jewelry, etc..

I was going to post a list of all the clothing but I think I will pass.

Lois,

As this is your 2nd time to Alaska I'd be curious to know what you're bringing this trip & what you're leaving at home that you didn't need last time .

I'll be cruising in July and still can't figure out how many layers to take- especially for viewing glaciers while on deck.

Hi Sharyn,:) this is not my 2nd time....it is my 4th time to Alaska:D

but the first 3 were quite a few years ago......2005, 2008 and 2009.

I can't remember everything I brought....the last time I went was 6

years ago but I do have photos....click on Flickr in my signature

and there are pictures from the 2008 and 2009 Alaska cruises....

You can take a look. I know I wore jeans, longs sleeves and a jacket

while out on deck in some of the photos.

Be sure to check the weather a few days before you leave. It will help.

I am all packed and decided to check weather.com~ I put in each

port over the next 10 days and it shows 50's-60's during the day:)

I had planned to bring a fleece jacket (it goes in last) but truthfully,

I think I am leaving it home. I have some other outerwear I am still

bringing but I really think the fleece may be too much. I have plenty

of longsleeves and some sweaters too:D....and I have a jacket that

is quilted in the body and the arms are a knit....I am bringing that one.

Not sure why I decided to look at the weather tonight:eek:.....I am not

repacking anything else;)....if, by chance I actually need something

warmer, I can always just buy a sweatshirt.
