CJcruzer Posted April 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2017 (edited) has anyone taken a ship's tour to nearby Trowulan archaeological site? If so, could you elaborate on what you saw, was the tour worth it, interesting, etc Thanks Edited April 7, 2017 by CJcruzer

Omega1 Posted November 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2017 We didn't visit Trowulan, but had an excellent Surabaya old town tour with Authentic Java Tours (http://www.authenticjavatours.com). Our guide , Graeme, is a British ex-pat who worked for the British Council in Indonesia for many years. The tour was fascinating, particularly the Dutch colonial architecture and heritage stuff, along with visits to local markets and a mosque. We ended our day with a drink at the delightful Majapahit Hotel (the Raffles of Indonesia). Graeme will customise tours and if Trowlan is a possibility he will organise it. I just checked his website and he does offer a one day tour to Trowlan.
