monkeybone Posted September 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2014 Hi can anyone tell me if they have received a free Carnival cruise from AC or other Casinos. I'm thinking about taking the trip to pick it up. Is it worth it? do you get a drink card? any other perks? Any info would be great.

samiam0403 Posted October 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2014 I've picked up two free CCL cruise certificates from the Golden Nugget in Vegas over the last few years - we felt the one we actually used was worth it. We were told by Michael at the Ocean Players Club (or whatever it's called now) that since it was a comped cruise, they wouldn't extend any perks at all; however, we had the free drink cards waiting for us in the casino. The hostess was one of the best we've cruised with and treated us like true VIPs (bottles of wine, goodies delivered to the cabin, etc) and we had a fabulous time. Paid a little extra to upgrade to a balcony and thoroughly enjoyed our comped cruise. I think the whole thing came out to $350-400 total for the two of us in a balcony for a week. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Tutontow Posted October 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2014 We just went on a free casino cruise. The best part about it was the fact that we upgraded to a Grand Suite for only $700.00 total. The room normally cost $2800.00 so it was a real treat to do this because I would never spend that king of money for a cruise ship cabin.
Ms. Fun Bunch Posted October 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Yes, I just returned from one that I received in Vegas for Carnival and I am going on my first Norwegian cruise Nov. 2 that I received from my local casino. Tomorrow I am going to Horseshoe in Baltimore to pick up a certificate for a free cruise on RC. In Dec. I am going to Vegas to pick up another certificate for a NCL cruise. They are well worth it!
