swede6090 Posted December 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Loved cruise on MV Adriatic Pearl from Dubrovnik to Split with 34 other passengers. Not luxury but included tours and wine with meals. Would like same experience in other region of Mediterranean. Any suggestions?

Not luxury but included tours and wine with meals. Would like same experience in other region of Mediterranean. Any suggestions? What kind of budget range are you seeking and needing? Cruise lines such as Seabourn, Silversea, etc., have smaller ships in the 250 to 450 passenger range. We have done cruise with both of these lines and they do an excellent job with top service, food, entertainment, etc. BUT, their price is more than some more "basic" ships. What fits your fancy and wallet? THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Did a June 7-19, 2011, Celebrity Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Dozens of nice visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc. We are now at 189,637 views for this live/blog re-cap, including much on wonderful Barcelona. swede6090 Posted December 12, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 12, 2014 Thanks for your response! I had hoped to find something more basic than Seabourn or Silversea. The one week Adriatic cruise was about $1500 pp. More basic meant no pool, no entertainment, and family-style meal service that was decent not outstanding. However, the enchanting ports and our fellow passengers made it a memorable experience.

Voyages to Antiquity offers a small ship (relatively speaking) experience with about 300 passengers onboard. Most tours and wine/beer/soft drinks with dinner included, as are gratuities. It is not as inexpensive as you quote in your second post, but they also have an excellent lecture program to complement the sites you'll be visiting. Better deals for solo passengers than most lines offer.
Ine Posted December 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2014 Maybe you mean this type of ship, in Turkye or Greece? http://www.sailingbeauty.com/html/charter/charter.php
UKBayern Posted December 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2014 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Cruise What you mean is what is called a "Blue Cruise" or "Blue Journey" in Turkey. It is very popular amongst European tourists. Just Google it, or the word "Gulet", there are loads of these vessels floating around during the main season (summer).
