mpaxton41 Posted February 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2015 This is our first time to Grenada. Should we book a land tour or just go to the spice market and Gand Anse Beach? What would be a better day. Mindy

IslandStar Posted March 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2015 This is our first time to Grenada. Should we book a land tour or just go to the spice market and Gand Anse Beach? What would be a better day. Mindy There are so many options here for you it could make it tricky for you to decide. I would highly receommend depending on whether you want some snorkel time or not the following: Water, sightseeing & information - Grenada Seafaris Powerboat Adventure Great fun and rolls everything into a 2.5hr tour including a guided snorkel in the marine park with the underwater sculptures. Then after this you could go to Grand Anse beach to relax the afternoon away. Land, signtseeing & information - Mandoo tour Loads of information, speakers in his bus so you can hear him as he gives you load of island information and then you can visit the beach too depending on if you want a full day island tour or a half day and then beach time Both get great reviews on here and on TripAdvisor so I don't think you can go wrong. I hope you have a wonderful day on our beautiful island regardless of what you choose.:D
Marjar Posted March 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2015 This is our first time to Grenada. Should we book a land tour or just go to the spice market and Gand Anse Beach? What would be a better day. Mindy We spent the day at Grand Anse Beach and it was a beautiful beach. Gorgeous sand and water. Chairs and umbrella were $20 and there was a spice market located on the beach as well. A great day! smdcruiser Posted April 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 8, 2015 March, 2015 we went to Grande Anse Beach for a swim and nice relaxing day. We arrived at the pier by water taxi. The taxi employees will tell you to turn right when you get off the pier in order to find the cheapest beach chairs and umbrella rentals ($25 for 2 chairs and an umbrella)....they forget to mention that you also get charged $1.00 to use the facilities. Don't listen to them!! This is the second time to this beautiful beach so we knew better. If you are looking for a more quiet stretch of beach without being constantly hassled, turn left and within a short walk you will find Ann and her team in the orange shirts. Ann recognized us right away, even though our last visit was 4 years earlier. Ann is in my opinion, a very friendly, unassuming and gracious lady. She arranged for for beach chairs with an umbrella ($20), lunch and most importantly....great 'RUM PUNCH'....lol. BTW, no fee to use the facilities. Ann is very knowledgeable with regards to the history of Grenada. She answered the many questions we had during our first visit. I think Ann actually enjoyed giving us a bit of the Island's history. Thanks to Ann and her team for making us feel very welcomed and for a nice relaxing day with great food/drink service. We look forward to seeing Ann again!
