Beaching / Snorkeling in Roatan

I've been doing my best to research this port, but I'm a little unclear if I can do what I want on my own or if I should book thru NCL. We're coming in Oct 18th on the NCL Getaway. I want a nice beach with a bar/restaurant/lockers that's nice to relax and snorkel from the beach. Tabyana seems to fit the bill, but it's unclear if I can do that on my own, or pay $79 thru NCL. Any helpful tips would be great.

You can do it on your own. Grab a cab when you get off the ship and tell the driver where you want to go. The cab should be about $25.pp for all day, meaning the driver will stay in the area, ready to bring you back to the ship.

Tabyana is on West Bay Beach, along with several other resorts...we tell the cabbie to take us to West Bay Beach and then we walk along the beach until we find a resort that suits us for the day. Chairs are usually $10/day, food is decent and reasonably priced, as is the BEER! LOL

The only two places I know on West Bay Beach with lockers are Tabyana and Bananarama.

The easy access, boat free, reef snorkeling is steps from the loungers at Tabyana/Infinity, every other option one need walk down the beach to that spot.

You can also book directly with either Beachers or Bannarama. Their day packages include transportation to and from the cruise pier. Both have websites and information on how to book in advance.

Bananarama is looking cheaper than NCL's Tabyana. I might book this. Thank you.
