Medical centre. -Thompson Celebration

Can't so eat highly enough of the Doctor and her staff on Celebration. I became ill on the evening we left Norway with a sea day and two nights before we arrived at Newcastle.

They had me on drips etc within minutes of making contact and worked hard to bring my temperature down. She (correctly ) diagnosed pneumonia. We persuaded her not to transfer me by ambulance on arrival but instead to make the 75,min journey back to my local hospital to which she provided a full report to ease admission,

For a small ship Celebration seemed very well equipped.

hop you are recovering now. Good to hear the medical facilities are excellent.

They are on Dream too, my hubby was ill in April a few days before we started across the Atlantic and the medical staff and facilities on board were brilliant (Also the staff and facilities at La Romana hospital in the Dominican Republic which surprised us as it's quite a poor country). The customer relations staff on board were also very very caring and helpful Thankfully he only lost a morning of his holiday after spending the night in the medical centre so all was well in the end

My husband was also very well treated by the medical staff when he contracted pneumonia on Discovery in June. Fortunately he did not require hospital treatment but he's still coughing!
