capegirl Posted November 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2014 Advice please! We are not beach people and cant make up our minds to do a ship's island tour or go to Chaweng Beach for a walk along the coast and town. This will be our last stop on cruise and might be 'toured out' by then!
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2014 Since you might be toured out that day you can just take around a 15 minute walk from the pier into town and walk around town. Keith
Trend Posted November 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2014 we have a short half day stop and we are beach people but do not like the crowds so we called a hotel that will let you use their facilities
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2014 If you enjoy the beach there are a lot of places to visit. I didn't off that up since the OP said they are not beach people. Keith
BruceMuzz Posted November 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2014 Koh Samui is pretty much all beaches and sex clubs. If you don't like beaches.............................................
Trend Posted November 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2014 Keith I just did not want to start another thread on a similar topic so if you have advise for a quiet beach I am all ears.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) Trend, I would do as you have planned. I would go to a hotel that is off a beach. There are taxis at the port and they can give you great advice. Keith Edited November 13, 2014 by Keith1010
willing292 Posted November 14, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Chewang beach is on the opposite side of the island from where the ship anchors. We went there, but not much happens in the daytime. We enjoyed ourselves much more, looking thru the shops by the tender pier. Can't remember the name of the town. Pretty island.
