For our upcoming cruise, my family is planning to do a photo scavenger hunt as a fun sea day activity. Any ideas for things to capture? Like any scavenger hunt, we want to have some items easy to find, and some a bit more challenging, maybe requiring more creative interpretation. All suggestions appreciated!

How about a photo of:

1. the wall of plaques that are presented to the ship when it visits certain ports for the first time

2. the ship's "Godmother"

3. Captain walking thru the ship (Not in a receiving line)

4. door marked "Crew Only"

5. photo of flying fish

6. a bottle of Makers Mark bourbon

7. crew member in a life vest

8. empty (not "reserved") lounge chair by the pool

I like the idea of most but #8? that's just being unreasonable. Might as well ask OP to get a picture of the Kraken

Walking through the pool area, I have seen several of those chairs occupied by what may have actually been Kraken...minus a few tentacles.

I took part in a ship's treasure hunt. One of my favorites was a set of dice with numbers in a row (1-5, 2-6). I went to the gift shop and opened a set of dice (they weren't sealed) and put them in order.

I would take favorite or personal things of the family and incorporate them (a redhead, someone on crutches, someone with braces, etc).

Many of the ship's entries had to do with pictures that were in the ship, (someone jumping, someone embarking, - maybe they were trying to get you to the photo studio?)

Are you trying to have fun, explore the entire ship, find unique things on the ship? Then you can decide what to concentrate on.

This reminds me of the Navy days and sending the new guys/gals on missions to find "things". :D

Navy vets will understand. Relative bearing grease anyone.

Prop Wash....
