does anyone know if one can change one person that was originally booked on a cruise, if that person can't go to add another and if theres a charge ? i made final payment.

OK, serious answer: Most cruise lines don't have a major problem with this, as long as you're not within two weeks of sailing (the cruise line has to submit the crew and passenger manifests to various authorities (customs, immigration, coast guard, etc.). There will often be a charge for this.

Did you purchase insurance? If one passenger cannot travel, for a covered reason, the insurance may (or, may not) cover the costs.

I called my travel agent just today to change a person. My son is unable to come with me so I am taking my girlfriend. I am booked on the Carnival Freedom, there was no charge and all she did was a name change.

All good as long as one name on the booking remains the same
