Harwich Question

Recommended Posts

Yes, it's within walking distance as it's on the road you turn off to get to the berthing area. We saw quite a lot of the crew from our ship at Morrison's stocking up/making phone calls etc. and they'd obviously walked there. (If you are early for embarkation, the cafe there isn't bad for a drink/light refreshments - and very reasonably priced. There are also toilets - very convenient!)

As I remember it, it's not the best road for walking along though, as although it's a level walk, I'm not sure there are pavements all the way along and of course there is a constant stream of cars arriving for port parking which use this road. However, the short answer to your question is 'Yes' but take care.

Its about a 15 minute walk.

There is also a bus that runs every 30 minutes (number 20) from in front of the train station at the cruise port to Harwich Town via Morrisons. The bus doesn't run Sundays through. For the bus stop from the cruise terminal walk along the rail platform and over the rails to the other side of the track. The bus stop is out front here.
