Would like info on floor plan & balcony dim's, it looks like they might possibly a different layout when you look in the Carnival brochure. Any Pix? I become Type A when a cruise is in our future, so I have to get as much info as possible to satisfy my inquisitivness(sp?). molme Posted January 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2005 Aren't those rooms right over the Lounge? You might have a noise problem at night since the midnight shows are held there on most ships.

CruiseMark Posted January 13, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2005 No problem! You can get the countdown clock here: http://www.geocities.com/quietman01970/maker.htm Be sure to test it on the Test Forum here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=225 before putting it on one of the regular boards. Plan on seeing my name often here PS~ We sail on 2/12/06...BON VOYAGE............ I also go crazy with planning and our next cruise is as far away as yours - 2/19/06. We booked one of the corner aft 9As on the Valor (same deck plans) and I've been searching for pics. I came across a few but didn't save them. I did read that these cabins were not affected by the noise from the lounge but that some of the inside cabins nearby could hear the music. Our kids are in the last inside cabin closest to ours and I'm hoping the noise isn't too bad! I'll be curious to read more responses to this thread so keep them coming!! serene56 Posted February 4, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 4, 2005 What midnight show is in that lounge on the aft? most shows are done in the show lounge locate in the forward of the ships I had a cabin above a lounge on the Victory and never heard a peep all week. Had a cabin under the casino on the Legend and again never heard a nickle drop ever.
sa7776 Posted February 5, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 5, 2005 We were on the upper deck in 2003 and most probably will be this year (unless of course the upgrade fairy visits). We were right above the forward lounge. We often took a nap in the afternoon and if it was real quiet we could hear the entertainers practicing....not unpleasant. Other members of our party who were not night owls said they could occasionally hear the laughter from the "R" rated shows at night but NOT the show itself (important if you have kids). Even though we have booked a quarantee, the "Book Modify" method is showing a cabin that will be right on top of the disco. We are going in March so I will let you know what we could or could not hear.
Born_to_Cruise05 Posted February 6, 2005 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2005 We are on the Conquest 10/23/05 and we are booked in cabin 8450 aft balcony cabin. Can anyone tell me if this is an extended baclony? How much room is on the balcony? Is this a larger cabin or the standard 185 sq ft cabin? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Your cabin is a standard size but the balcony is a tad bigger then the ones on the side. Dont expect a huge balcony. THere is two chairs back there that sit low to the ground. THe backs recline. I have heard people putting loungers backthere but for me I cant figure out how. I see it would take up most of your space.
