leighi123 Posted October 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2014 On Liberty, do the windows open for Sea View rooms?
elliair Posted October 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2014 No. If you want a window to open, book a balcony with a sliding glass door.
leighi123 Posted October 16, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Thanks- we were trying to figure out a good configuration for which rooms to get (6 of us, in probably 3 rooms).
falkcor Posted October 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2014 no. on liberty, you might consider the 4j rooms - they're at the front of the ship, and have a window - it's considered an 'obstructed view' as you can see the rail from your window - but it's a window room with an inside price (plus a little bit), and you can access the 'secret deck' - a walkway in the front of the ship. it's like a big communal balcony. SadieN Posted October 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Across the fleet the only cabins that open to the fresh air are balconies and most of the 4Ks on the Spirit class.
falkcor Posted October 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Across the fleet the only cabins that open to the fresh air are balconies and most of the 4Ks on the Spirit class. and to be clear, 4ks on the spririt class are 'french door' rooms - you can open the door. but on no ship, can you open a 'window'. there are no 4ks on liberty as it is a conquest class ship. RWolver672 Posted October 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2014 No. If you want a window to open, book a balcony with a sliding glass door. Most balcony doors are hinged, not sliding.
Canadian_J Posted October 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) Most balcony doors are hinged, not sliding. I think their comment may have been tongue-in-cheek, in referring to your balcony doors as a big sliding window :p although you are of course correct!
