NEW 2 CRUISIN Posted September 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2010 It appears they are rotating the talent on the EPIC every 4 months. That's great news, as it will always be "fresh" then! The bad news? I still have to wait 3 more changes to I get to cruise the EPIC!
KandJCruising Posted September 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2010 Darn, I was really looking forward to hearing Slam Allen and Co, so hope the new band is equally entertaining. On the plus side, assuming you don't sail Epic more than once every 4 months, you should see different entertainers each time.

Thank you so much for the info! After hearing all the rave reviews about Slam Allen I was a little depressed to learn he was leaving the ship before we cruised. I took the advice of another poster here and looked up Roadside Louie on YouTube, and I'm psyched to see that it looks like they put on a pretty rockin' show as well :D

Cruisin'cockney Posted September 30, 2010 #8 Share Posted September 30, 2010 They have also played with Slam Allen. I expect that is where the intro came from. If they are half as good as Slam they will be still be the best thing on the boat!

akupupule Posted October 11, 2010 #13 Share Posted October 11, 2010 New group...Louie and the dusters. talanted but never did pack em in like Slam Alan did. Not my style of music. This was the last week for the Wildfire duo.....they did pack the atrium and fat cats . We liked them a lot. Wes Johns was also very good.

MusicRocks Posted October 11, 2010 #15 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Well I go on epic on 1/15 so I guess I'll miss them. Boooooo. Slam Allen will be back in Fats Cats on that sailing, and TRUST ME, he & his band rock the house. And a few times he sings the blues with such emotion and soul, it will literally make you cry. Dude is incredible.
akupupule Posted October 14, 2010 #16 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Wildfire....last week? Vacation or for good? do you know? Lydia said the Oct 2 cruise was their last week on Epic. Didn't say if they would be on another NCL ship or not. They were previously on the Pearl. We really enjoyed them!
