Mexico entry for misdemeanor parolee

My 21 year old grandson is traveling with his parents on a 4 day cruise to Ensenada Mexico out of LA. He is on a nonrestricted parole for a misdemeanor. His attorney said it is ok to travel to Mexico. Has anyone had experience with this? He does not want to be tuned away at the port.

Is he in contact with the parole office. They should be able to provide him with documentation.

Carnival has his passport number. We are concerned that they will turn him away when he checks in to board the ship

If he was going to Canada it might be a little concern. Mexico couldn't care less......

Traveled this route many times. You can get back on the ship from Mexico. Just need your sign and sail card. We are concerned that they won't let him on the ship in LA.

IF his lawyer has said there is no restriction about going to Mexico why are you worrying? IF you don't trust the lawyer's knowledge or ability then you need a new lawyer.

IF there is no restriction then his passport will not have any sort of hold attached to it. Carnival will not know anything about the case. Remember folks don't even need a passport to go on these cruises. They can just use a driver's license and a birth certificate. Immigration is not an issue for returning USA citizens.
