Route 3 from Halifax to Peggy's Cove and back

Any suggestions as to restaurant/pub places to stop on the return from Peggy's Cove?

It's been a few years since we've been there, but I don't recall seeing much in the way of places to eat until you get pretty much back to Halifax.

If you want to eat while at Peggy's Cove we can vouch for the Sou'wester right there. We usually have New Year's day brunch there. All the food is very good and homey, and their gingerbread cake is soooooo yummy.

There isn't anything else between there and Halifax, except for what has already been mentioned.

We did the Canada/New England cruise last month and after visiting Peggy's Cove we stopped to eat at Shaw's Landing restaurant. We ate on the outside patio with a nice scenic view and had great food. Check out their website.

It will be very crowded to eat at Peggy's cove. There are a few nice places in Mahone Bay to eat though
