maldenmusic Posted January 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We were in Costa Maya Dec. 23 and noticed this beach to the right of the cruise ship port as we walked from the ship. It looked closed and there was a large wall built between it and the shops. Does anyone know about this beach?

Rare crewsweeper Posted January 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2017 yes, it was, and would be, a great spot. Unfortunately the owner doesn't want to rebuild or can't afford to rebuild and doesn't want to sell out to the people invested in the cruise port. Some sort of "blood feud". So it's been vacant for over 10 years. Sad.
maldenmusic Posted January 4, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted January 4, 2017 Thanks for the info. Looks like it has the potential to be a nice place.
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2017 Thanks for the info. Looks like it has the potential to be a nice place. Prime property! Used to access it through a whole in the fence. A few years ago, the port constructed the cement wall in your picture so people won't gape at the really nice lagoon/beach versus the poor manmade one at the port on the other side of the pier.
