Naples to Amalfi - Taxi? Quickest and cheapest way

Hey everyone,

Last year I booked an Amalfi tour from naples port with Viator.

This year, we will be 6 people and we just want to go directly to Amalfi and back.

What is the cheapest way and quickest way to get there? We were thinking a taxi maybe?

We'd rather not rent a car since the roads and parking are a bit stressful.

Let me know your experiences and what you think is best.

Thanks in advance

Cheapest way is to rent a SUV or Van and drive yourself. Otherwise, book a private car/driver...which will cost 2 -4 times the cost of a rental. But we are puzzled why you just want to go to Amalfi, which is really not a town most would choose as a day destination. Consider also visiting nearby Ravello and strolling though that charming hilltop town.

Are you looking to go to the town of Amalfi or to the Amalfi coast in general to see the different towns? What time of the year are you going? If in August, the roads are going to be very busy and you would be spending more time sitting in the car than exploring the amazing coast.

There is a bus you can take that would be the cheapest. I was lucky last year, my hotel offered a shuttle that was about 60 euros. Way cheaper than a taxi.. You could try a transfer company like Joe Banana Limos. Im not sure what they charge though.
