If you are on a cruise to Hilo, Hawaii and have a few minutes to visit the farmer's market and "downtown", this is a great exhibit to visit:

Another great lesser known "tour" is the Palace Theater on Wednesdays.

Of course, there are the usual haunts: Volcano National Park, Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls/Boiling Pots, Queen Liliuokalani Park, Coconut Island, drive along the Hamakua Coast, etc. It is too bad that this is such a short stay.

 

Hilo is my favorite of all the cities/towns in the State of Hawaii.
