What part of town will you be in? El Establo(Paraguay and San Martin) is a good choice downtown. My wife and I ate there last night. The bill for the two of us was just under 600 pesos for half portions of steak, salad and a side of potatoes. My wife had bottled water. I had a small bottle of wine (san Felician Malbec).

I have eaten here numerous times on previous trips. never disappointed.

1880 Parrilla (defensa street, 1600 block) is a reliable choice in San Telmo. Fervor (posadas, near the corner of Callao) is an option in Recoleta. 1880 Parrilla is probably about the same price as El Establo, Fervor slightly more.

About $15 per person, including tip. Several years ago, though.

With inflation currently running at about 40%, don't expect prices from several years ago (or last year) to be the same. Obtaining pesos on the blue market can offset some of the cost of inflation for those with dollars....but prices just keep going up.
