Non prepaid gratuities with a free classic drinks package

Please accept my apologies if this has already been asked!

We are sailing with Celebrity Eclipse in September from Southampton, this is our 7th cruise but is the first cruise where we do not currently have prepaid gratuties. We have a free class alcoholic drinks package with this cruise, so will Celebrity charge us a gratuity every time we order a drink that is included in the free drinks package if we don't have prepaid gratutuies.

Prepaid gratuities are not included in the drinks anyways. Unless you have a drinks package you will always be charged an extra 18%. I think Celebrity from the UK include the 18% in the menu price. The prepaid gratuitues are for your room steward, dining room waiters etc.

No, they won't. The gratuities are included in your free drink package.

Celebrity's drink packages all have price ceilings. For the Classic it is now $9 per drink and for the Premium it is $13 per drink. If you order a drink at or below the price ceiling there is no charge and no gratuity. However, if you order a drink with a price in excess of the price ceiling then you will be billed for the difference in price and 18% of the price difference will also be charged. So for example, with the Classic package, if you chose to order a $12 glass of wine at dinner, then you would be billed ($12 - $9) x 1.18 = $3.54.

We are sailing with celebrities cruise x and they have given us a free classic drinks package

Just wondering if we have to pay gratitude of 18% for are drink as this was free and is there a limit to how many drinks you can have a day.
