Honeymooners in Curacao September 17 from 1pm - 11pm...What to Do?

Hello! My fiance and I are honeymooning on a cruise that will be in Curacao in the afternoon & evening. We will be on a Carnival ship and didn't see any excursions that struck our fancy.

The last cruise we were on, we didn't do any cruise sponsored excursions and we were in each port from 7am - 5pm, so we taxi'd to beaches, hung out, grabbed a bite then taxi'd back to port, grabbed a souvenir and got back onboard.

Seeing as how we will be in Curacao in the late afternoon and evening that doesn't seem like a good plan. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Curacao is a lovely and colorful port. If you're interested in architecture and shopping, you can walk from the pier through the old fort (now turned into a shopping mall) and across the pontoon bridge into town, where you will find more shopping and interesting buildings to see. There are bars and restaurants throughout the area for a bite to eat.

If you're looking for something more romantic, you might be able to find a spa for a couples' massage (possibly on Trip advisor?).

Actually, I don't see why you couldn't visit a beach (we usually go to Mambo/Seaquarium Beach) in the afternoon, then head back to town and enjoy a nice meal at one of the restaurants along the canal. It would probably be very pretty in the evening, with the lights on the water.

Thanks for the advice! Any recommendations for a restaurant in the evening

You're welcome. We have not dined in the downtown area, but walking around you will see places with tables indoors and out, and usually the menu is posted. There are also several restaurants in the old fort shopping mall area. Perhaps someone else will chime in with a specific recommendation.
