Suggestions please for post cruise time in LA.

Docking in LA at 7am - no flight to Australia until 11:55pm. How does one fill in the long day - book a day room, ship tour, luggage lockers at airport, etc?

How far is it the heart of LA from port - Rodeo Drive, etc.

Rodeo Drive is almost an hour from the port . You'll have to carry luggage if you do it yourself. If the cruise line has a tour take it because your luggage is on the bus with you.

If the cruise line doesn't look for a private company that can give you the tour.

If your flight doesn't leave until 11:55 pm, you should probably get to LAX around 9:00 pm, so you have plenty of time...

The standard first time visitor tour would go to Hollywood (Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese, Hollywood Sign, etc.,) Beverly Hills (Rodeo Drive, some famous homes, etc.), Santa Monica (Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, Palisades Park), Venice Beach Boardwalk...You may want to squeeze in some time at the Getty Museum and/or Getty Villa...Lots of other sights...But let Sunseekers design you an itinerary...

Both Hollywood and Santa Monica are about 30 miles from the port (slightly different directions--North and Northwest)...but driving time can vary depending on time of day and day of the week...
