Getting from FLL hotel to MIA?

Hi all.. been looking at economical ways for getting our group of 6 from our hotel near Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale to the Miami Airport... Any suggestions? I was wondering about taking a cab to the Fort Lauderdale Airport and using the Tri Rail from there to Miami Airport? I've heard the cab fare is very pricey to take it all the way from our hotel to the Miami airport.

You could ride the Tri-Rail from the FLL Tri-Rail station to MIA for under $5 each, assuming you are not in a hurry and can handle your own bags.

I would check with Larry's Limos as well as Go Airport for a quote -- might cost more but will be much simpler.

Two one-way rental are another option as are using two Uber cars (3 passengers each).

The drive from FLL to MIA takes about an hour or more, depending upon traffic. In a taxi the fare will run $75-80+ :eek: If all 6 plus bags could squeeze into a mini-van taxi that would be an economical solution - but if any in your party packs like my wife you'll never fit. :o
